Meet The Great American Trailer Park Musical crew:
Josh Scales – Assistant Director, Musical Director, Piano
Joshua Scales, age 20, is a native of Orange. He grew up being involved with Orange Community Players, getting his start in the summer Youth Workshop. It was in those summers Joshua found his love for theatre. Before joining the OCP, Joshua was very involved with music. He started with voice lessons at the age of eight. Joshua has countless awards in music, which he has turned into a passion for sharing his knowledge through teaching private music lessons. With a passion for music and theatre, Joshua branched out, performing in Concert Bands on the French Horn, jazz band on the Piano, and playing trumpet in pit orchestras for Beaumont Community Player productions. Joshua, a charter member of the OCP Jr. Board, has spent countless hours working both on and off of the stage. He regularly teaches activities in the youth workshops. You may have seen Joshua in many productions including Oliver Twist, Bat Boy, and Les Miserables. This isn’t Joshua’s first time behind the piano directing music. Joshua was the musical director for Sweeney Todd the Demon Barber of Fleet Street earlier this season at OCP.
Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything. –Plato
