Orange Community Players was originally founded as “Town Theatre.” Productions were held at Helen Carr Junior High School and Anderson Elementary School.
Town Theatre was renamed “Orange Community Players.” Season tickets could be purchased for five dollars!
Our president Ethel Nash signed a lease on the building we call home today. First production on the new stage: “Bus Stop.”
We underwent significant renovations to provide a superior theatre experience, including new seating, additions and renovations to our lobby, scene shop and prop storage.
What truly comprises our organization’s history are the people in the community who, generation after generation, continue to participate in and support Orange Community Players.
We invite you to come out, experience Southeast Texas theatre at its finest, and be a part of the rich history of Orange Community Players.
